President Taps 5 Cabinet Members To Sell Infrastructure Plan

U.S. President Joe Biden delivers remarks on the Department of Labor's March jobs report from the State Dining Room at the White House in Washington D.C. U.S

U.S. Sen. Robert Casey, D-Scranton, came out in support of Biden, calling for quick legislative action on the President's plan for job creation, rebuilding the nation's infrastructure and growing incomes for families.

In his Friday remarks, Biden also said that nearly 90% of the infrastructure jobs could be filled by people without a college degree.

Biden hopes the jobs numbers are in a sign that a sustained recovery from the pandemic recession is taking hold as vaccinations accelerate, stimulus checks flow through the economy and businesses increasingly reopen.

The president defended his infrastructure plan that would be funded by an increase in corporate taxes.

"While most of the Cabinet will have a role in helping shape and press the jobs plan, today I'm announcing that I'm asking five Cabinet members to take special responsibility to explain the plan to the American public", Biden announced during his first Cabinet meeting since being sworn in.

President Trump launches website to advance 'America First' agenda
Facebook CEO, Mark Zuckerberg, at the time cited the risk of ongoing violence for the ban of Trump. Look away, move on, shut up and go on about your lives, forget Donald Trump existed.

"American rescue plan is starting to make a real difference in the economy".

"Raising taxes, studies show, will not slow the economy", Biden said. The benefits and the impact the American Rescue Plan are temporary by design. Biden also said he wants to establish a 21% "global minimum tax" for American corporations, to "level the worldwide playing field" and generate another $1 trillion within the next 15 years. Biden argued the tax hikes were necessary to help pay for his dramatic spending proposal.

Biden said he is "open to other ideas" to raise funds, as long as they do not increase taxes for those making less than $400,000. He also said he will talk to Republicans to hear their perspective, and political "divisions" shouldn't stop the government from "doing the right thing for the future".

Vowing to fight Biden's proposal "every step of the way", the Kentucky Republican went on to lament that "but for one seat in Georgia, I would be setting the agenda", referring to Democratic runoff victories in January that wrenched control of the Senate from the GOP. "This is what "building back better" is all about", Casey said. "We just have to remember, this is the United States of America, and I've said it a thousand times, there's nothing beyond our capacity if we act together".
