Pentagon UFO report 'doesn't rule out aliens' - although finds no evidence

Former US President Barack Obama said there really are UFO sightings that the government can't explain

In April, it confirmed that footage of a triangular UFO shared online was real and had been taken by the US Navy.

The US Department of Defence's watchdog is also set to examine how the Pentagon has handled reports of UFOs.

Intelligence officials purportedly note they have developed no clear explanation for the movement that military personnel have observed in the objects, such as rapid acceleration and an ability to submerge in water.

The New York Times reported the expected findings, citing senior administration officials who were briefed.

Other leaked US Navy footage from between 2004 and 2015, long the subject of UFO-watchers' fascination, was officially released by the Pentagon in April past year.

The videos, along with the DoD's statement, poured fuel on the fire, prompting even more calls from officials and the public to release information on UFOs.

China allows couples to have three children
China on Monday relaxed its two-child policy to allow couples to have three children, a shift aimed at tackling an ageing society. Though China tried to encourage young couple have more than one baby, the birth rate keeps decreasing in recent years.

In March, former Director of National Intelligence John Ratcliffe told Fox News of the report's creation, saying that it will describe "difficult to explain" sightings.

It will be the first into UFO sightings by any major United States defence agency.

The Pentagon and Central Intelligence Agency have for decades looked into reports of aircraft or other objects in the sky flying at inexplicable speeds or trajectories. The law ordering the report says it must address the matter of whether the UFOs pose a threat to U.S. national security and the security of its forces.

Former President Barack Obama has also confirmed there are UFO sightings that the government can not explain. New religions would pop up.

"The sense I have from the briefings I've sat in on is nobody knows what to do about it. We're good at manufacturing arguments for each other", Obama said. He, however, refused to answer whether Washington has evidence that extraterrestrial life exists.

The officials who briefed The Times also note the report will have a classified annex, which will not be made public.

Some reports say that the much-anticipated dossier will likely be delayed due to the limited amount of time provided for it to be drawn up. Sources say the report suggests that if the technology is not alien, the crafts could be advanced Chinese or Russian hypersonic vehicles or drones, which in itself is very bad for America because it would suggest that its strongest foreign threats have technology much more advanced than anything America has in its arsenal.

The majority of the report will be presented publicly to Congress on June 25.
