Meghan and Harry welcome 2nd child, Lilibet 'Lili' Diana

Prince Harry and Meghan announce birth of baby girl

Due to coronavirus travel restrictions, it's unlikely that Harry and Meghan and their young children will fly to the United Kingdom or that the British royals will travel to California.

Whenever that happens, Archie and his younger sister will graduate from being the great-grandchildren of the outgoing monarch (Queen Elizabeth II) to the grandchildren of the reigning monarch (King Charles), meaning they'll be eligible for HRH titles.

"On June 4th, we were blessed with the arrival of our daughter, Lili".

Although Diana proved correct, with the Sussexes using the name of Harry's late mother as their daughter's middle name, Lilibet was a little more left-of-centre.

The Duke and Duchess of Sussex announced the birth of their daughter overnight, who they have named Lilibet "Lili" Diana Mountbatten-Windsor and, for those playing along at home, that's not one, but TWO royal nods.

"Thank you for your continued kindness and support during this very special time for our family".

Lili weighed 7 lbs, 11 oz.

Congratulations to the royal fam!

Harry and Meghan's baby news was announced to the world via their representatives back in February after the couple released a black and white photo of the pair in their back yard, smiling as Meghan lies in Harry's lap with her baby bump visible beneath a flowing Carolina Herrera dress.

Harry and Meghan moved to California a year ago after stepping down from their roles as senior working members of Britain's royal family.

They have been receiving backlash for their explosive interview with US TV host Oprah Winfrey in March this year.

Prince Charles is rumoured to have plans to "streamline" the monarchy when he takes the throne, says Angela Levin, royal biographer and author of Harry: Conversations with the Prince.

Meghan had previously disclosed that she suffered a miscarriage last summer in a moving opinion piece for the New York Times.

Prince William and Duchess Kate have reacted warmly to Prince Harry and Meghan Markle post the couple welcomed their second child.

"Amazing. Just grateful", Harry said at the time, describing his own reaction.

According UK's Daily Express, the Duke and Duchess of Sussex are now below nine members of the Royal Family.

The couple told Winfrey they are not planning to have more children, saying to Winfrey, "Two is it".
