Apple brings FaceTime to Android and Windows (via the web)

Apple’s Live Text lets you interact with text in your

FaceTime will soon let you create a link of a scheduled call that you can share in advance, much like Zoom and Microsoft Teams.

Apple will offer the ability to store state-issued identification cards digitally on iPhones and added user privacy protections on its iCloud storage service and email apps, among several updates to the software on its devices.

Unfortunately Covid-19 has again impacted the event, but that also means that developers writing for the Apple ecosystem of products and services, will be able to attend for free.

The feature will roll out with iOS 15.

IPadOS 15 will also bring updates to Swift Playground allowing apps to be developed right on the iPad itself, auto-translation with voice dictation, and numerous updates announced to iOS today including improved notifications, Maps updates, SharePlay, Focus, and status sections for those times when you want your iPad to be just a multimedia device again. Safari was used as an example, though Apple says you can also use it in Pages or to quickly preview emails.

This Focus concept takes "do not disturb" to a new level, and continues Apple's look into how we use our screen time across the week.

Apple demonstrated the new feature during its Worldwide Developer Conference keynote, showing how friends could press play in Apple Music to listen together, as the music streams to everyone on the call.

Siri is also picking up Google-Assistant-style context for certain commands in the vein of continued conversation (Google: 2018) and the Assistant's on-screen parsing (Google: 2019), allowing you to make requests more simply and naturally.

Ontario shortening interval between COVID-19 vaccine doses
People who received their first dose after April 3 will be able to receive a second dose in early June, he said. She said the issue relates to the temperature of the vaccine doses that are being stored.

Copy that text and paste it into an email or message as if you typed it all out. Users can click that link on any device to join the call... via a web browser.

Apple announced that new companies will take advantage of Apple Wallet, including home door lock companies and even swipe card companies for your corporate office access.

The Apple Wallet app is great for your credit or debit cards, allowing a tap and pay process at the shops. Users will be able to share heart and fitness data collected from an Apple Watch with their doctor or their family members.

The company demonstrated a photo scanning of a licence, which they say is compatible with several USA states.

FaceTime will also gain new features in iOS 15, including a new grid option, spatial audio support, and the option to blur your background.

Siri's speech-recognition capabilities can happen on-device beginning with iOS 15.

iOS 15 will launch later this year, in line with the next iPhone which will likely come in late September or early October.
